My name is Alvin chitemere, I am a relaxed person,ever smiling person with good manners and always respectful to others. I enjoy being a carer since I was young man cared for grandfather who was involved in care. From there I enjoyed been a care giver. I have a carer for the past 20 years I worked for the NHS in numerological unit, care homes, I did home care visits for the elderly. I also worked as a carer for live in jobs looking after clients in their own homes
I have vast experience in caring, iam in position to administer medication, take both temperature and Blood Pressure, conduct Risk Accessment and take of the daily routines. That’s food preparation, ironing, assisting the bathing, dressing and mostly important listening to client’s needs. I can also assist clients with their shopping, and iam in position to use nurse aids ie hosts, sliding sheet able to use both manual and electric wheelchair. I can also in a position to do wound dressings, monitor clients health ie pressure sours, fever and other medical conditions. The most important is to maintain client confidentiality, should discuss client medical health issues outside the care setting. Always consent with client before you start any given procedure, I am to travel and meet different clients. It always give an opportunity to learn and able to apply transferable skills. Very focused on my job and also very good at attention to detail. Professional all the time when I am engaging my clients, able to update and write care plans. Manage and adapt risk assessments, follow guidelines of risk assessment COSSH. Maintain contact with district nurse, make appointments with GPs and health professionals. Able to maintain Food and hygiene for my clients, making appointments with nurse aids for my clients ie servicing of hoist, wheelchairs and other services.
