Mo was extremely professional and hard working who looked after my mother until she passed. Nothing was too much trouble for her she knew exactly how to keep mum comfortable in her last days through some trying times. I wouldn't hesitate to employ her again.

Absolutely wonderful!! Mawata is fantastic she cares for my mother like no other carer we have had, so attentive to mums needs and truly cares for her. It’s not just a job for Mo she’s considerate, kind and just brilliant at what she does a true professional . We as a family could not wish for a better person to look after our lovely mum. Mo comes very, very highly rated ******.

Mo was a cheerful very caring person who looked after my mum who has dementia. She definitely sees her work as a vocation and I could tell she really cared about mum and her needs. I can highly recommend Mo as a carer, she was lovely to have around. Always with a ready smile.

After reading other reviews I decided to hire this carer. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I explained the complexity of the case in thorough detail before she came, I picked her up from the station, paid for her train ticket and asked her what shopping she needed. . She knew there were other carers coming in four times a day to do some personal care with my mum and use the hoist. In practice she let these carers take the lead while she sat back or chatted. She didn't work at developing a bond with my mother; she came when she was called but did little else to forge a relationship. Things came to a head one night when the carer wouldn't get up to support my mum, even though we'd previously agreed to up to two wake-up calls nightly. My dad was left to manage things unaided. After a major upset about this I said I thought it better she leave. I had already expressed concerns to Prime Carers about her focus on her breaks at the expense of my mother's care. When I arrived on a Sunday at 11am she wanted to leave immediately, even though my mum was due a toilet stop at midday. She could have had a 4 hours break that day but apparently that wasn't good enough. Frustratingly as we were 8 days into the contract I had to pay her for another week - another £1000 wasted. I suggested we compromise over this given the situation and I would keep my views private but she wanted the money. I had actually given her a day off the week before while my mum was in hospital but she still charged me for this. She told me the 'complex care' rate she was charging was peanuts. She could earn a lot more elsewhere. It shows where her mind was. She accused my parents of being terrible people and me of leaving her without food forcing her to eat takeaways. She was indeed eating takeaways but also ignoring all attempts to include her in food orders. The carer was more than proficient when she put her mind to it. It felt like she just couldn't be bothered to really invest.

Mo was with my mother for approximately four weeks. Mo helped keep my Mother calm and not anxious despite Mum having dementia and her husband having been admitted to hospital. Mo would keep mums spirits up with music, which mum laughed and was always keen to encourage mum to speak with us to gain reassurance if ever she was confused. Mum enjoyed Mos company and there was no concerns at her being in the house with mum at the beginning, she settled in quickly and well.
