I am enthusiastic, hardworking individual with an attitude to detail. An excellent communicator with a friendly and outgoing personality who works well with other whilst working efficiently on my own, whether as a team member or in a supervisory capacity. Over the years of experience working with elderly people in residential homes and in their own homes. Supporting clients in all matters of personal care according to their care plan. Assisting my clients with Catheter Care, Peg feeding and wound dressing. Monitoring clients nutrition and preparing meals, reminding and making sure that doctors appointments are kept and medication administered according to their medical records. Recording all changes in clients health both physical and psychological activities. Driving my clients around in their own cars. Helping out with the grocery shopping and making sure that the house is kept clean and tidy, ironing and laundry done, bedding changed and the client is feeling safe, happy and secured in their own homes. I sometimes do day shifts on longer hours a day or waking nights. I always make sure that the clients in my care are treated with respect and dignity. I always put yourself in your client's shoes and see if the situation was turned around, how would you liked to be treated? It is important to me that my clients always feel loved, happy and looking forward to the future and that I am always there to make life easier.
