Carla was a live in carer with myself and my mother and I do not know how I would have managed without her. Carla is extremely competent, knowledgeable and efficient at her job and has a very professional attitude to her work. My mum's last few months were most definitely a lot easier with Carla there for both my mum and for me; She is an empathetic listener and also gives very sound advice. She cared effortlessly for my mum and often came up with solutions to 'challenges' that I did not know how to manage. I would thoroughly recommend her and also say, that anyone who has the privilege to have Carla caring for them will be very fortunate. I really cannot thank her enough for her valuable skills and time and how she helped us all.

Carla has been providing excellent care for my elderly mother since 2018. My mother has dementia and also had an alcohol addiction which, prior to Carla's arrival, made caring for her difficult and at times very demanding and chaotic. Carla has been instrumental in helping her to stop drinking, in putting the house and affairs in order and in creating a tranquil, supportive and happy environment. Carla is consistently reliable, caring, efficient and proactive. She anticipates situations and finds solutions before they become problems. Her style of communication is open and direct with both the family and other carers in the team. She has the ability to encourage my mother to do as much for herself as possible while always being respectful and mindful of her dignity. I can't imagine a more professional carer.

Carla is exceptionally really and and honestly made my Mum’s last 18 months the best they could possibly be. She was not only an amazing Carer to my mum but also her friend and companion, her supporter and her challenger sometimes but every way making my mum’s life better. She is incredibly efficient and strong and never hesitated when she needed to make a tough decision. She is smart and understood all the medicine that she had to give to her. She is incredibly patient and kind sometimes when it was frustrating to deal with mum’s some situation. She is incredibly aware of her clients needs and is gentle which is such an important trait in someone character as a career. She also is extremely efficient eg organising things in the household. Personally Carla has been an amazing asset to our family I really grew to love her and whoever takes her on in next role will be an exceptionally lucky person.

Carla was first hired as the carer for our dad, who has dementia. For this reason we were looking for a carer who would provide one-to-one compassionate care in the comfort of his own house. We can honestly say we got all of that in Carla, and more! From the day she started she went above and beyond her duty of care and didn’t consider any job irrelevant to her role. In the last few months dad’s situation had become even more complicated with an urinary infection, which meant multiple and often time consuming hospital admissions. Carla happily accompanied him to most of these, sometimes accommodating them into her personal schedule. She has been excellent responding to his deteriorating condition, helping him cope with his constant state of confusion as well as toilet trips, meals and mobility. She has provided much needed companionship to mum, quickly becoming an indispensable person in the household they simply couldn’t do without. Carla adapted well to our family dynamics and very rightly was treated like a member of the family. Unfortunately, in Oct 2021 we couldn’t put off the inevitable anymore and had to arrange for a care home for my parents. We are more than happy to recommend Carla for a new carer position and have asked her to share our contact number for this purpose.

Carla is an exceptional, kind, professional carer. She cared for my mum with Alzheimer’s with endless patience and kindness, always arriving with a smile and a positive attitude, despite having to deal with lots of the the challenging behaviour that Alzheimer’s brings. She has a constant learning attitude and is happy to share her knowledge and experience, and has provided lots of emotional support and friendship to me through the sadness of watching my mums illness progress. We have now sadly had to move to full time 24/7 care for my mum but would strongly recommend Carla, her new client and family will be lucky to have her. Marie-Anne B.
