Description
I am 43 years of age and mum of 1 son 18 years old. Care has always been at the centre of my heart from a very young age I recall confronting and standing for people who were bullied in primary school. My first care job was a nanny for two sisters one from 6 weeks then the second from birth. Then I moved onto adult care and learning disabilities. In elderly care I look after individuals with mainly dementia and dementia related sickness or disabilities. Assisting with all aspect of personal care, companionship, prompting or administering medication, food shopping and preparation, laundry, moving and handling. Caring for people who are no longer able to do things for themselves is such a fulfilling thing for me and it gives me great pleasure to be a part of someone’s support system and I see myself doing this for many years to come. Care is my passion and I enjoy making a difference in someone’s life helping them live life to the full and content in their situation or condition.
