How we verify our carers

One of the challenges of hiring carers is performing background checks. It's essential when working with a private carer to ensure they are who they say they are, that they have a clean DBS and that they have the knowledge of caring to complete the tasks you require.

When working with PrimeCarers we handle all this for you - so you can focus on the personality.

ID Check

We verify the carers identification documents using the Yoti service. This process involves taking a 3D scan of the carers face, scanning passports and/or driving licenses to verify that they are who they say they are.

DBS Check

All our carers are on the DBS update service so that we can check their criminal records. This is a legal requirement when hiring a carer. We also routinely re-check their DBS certificate to ensure they remain clean.

Interview / Knowledge Test

One of our team will interview the carer to test their knowledge of caring, handling of difficult situations and their legal obligations as a carer.

Insurance

We also insure the carer when working through our platform to make sure that they can work.

We only insure qualified carers, if you are hiring a home assistant, they will not be covered by our insurance
