I am a focused and well organized individual. I am able to plan and manage my own time and work load. I have an extremely varied and knowledgeable work history of over 26 years. I enjoy working in fast paced and sometimes difficult situations or tough environments. I am good at planning activities, keeping records, checking detail and following set ways of doing things. I have worked in plenty of care homes throughout my career some have been great some unfortunately havent and I have had to whistleblower which I'm not afraid of doing because I dont believe in breaking the care law. The main reason I have enjoyed and still enjoy my job as a carer is because i believe through well structured care residents can lead a dignified and fulfilling life. I will always continue to work in this field as I dont believe it is a job it's my passion. I love care and I am competent and compassionate about my work. My skills include: Effective communicator, expert in residents needs assessments, I am trustworthy and a great friend to be around. I am currently with Florence academy and successfully completing all my training with them gaining more certificates. I have my NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, I have my level 5 in Dementia care and i have my care certificates too. I have also studied at Manchester Metropolitan University and gained my psychology degree which i found has helped me in health and social care sector.

Sharon is a very competent and thorough senior care asssitant. I have no issues at all, with how professional she was when they carried out shifts with our agency. My main concerns where her commitment as on many occassions she let us down at short notice or pulled out of shifts leaving us in a situation of having to source last minute cover.

Hi, my mum suffers with dementia and had cancer. Sharon looked after my mum for me when I was working late’s. She is honest, reliable, patient, trustworthy and has a great approach about her.
