Description
I've been doing care work since 2008, I've done many other jobs but I always go back to care as care is what I love. I'm a very chatty bubbly person and I love listening to stories and looking at old photos as there's always a story behind them. I started my care roll in 2008 as I decided I wanted to help others and I progressed a lot along the way. I started in community care where I lived in Essex and absolutely loved my job and all my clients, when I moved to Kent in 2016 I worked in a dementia care home which was very tough at times but just seeing the smiles I could put on the residents faces made it all worthwhile. I then left the care home to look after my husbands nan who came to live with us and was end of life, after she died I decided to go back to the care home and they offered me the role of night senior so I was in charge of the whole home, 50 dementia residents plus 3 other care staff I didn't like the senior role and decided I wanted to go back to community care I've worked for a few companies since and unfortunately the latest company I worked for had to close down. I was asked by quite a few of my clients if I would still stay on doing their care privately as they didn't want me to leave them, thats what made me contact prime carers as I know I can make a change to my clients lives even if for just a short time. I've done end of life training plus palliative care training. Hopefully I can make a change to yourself or a loved ones life.
