I am passionate about caring as I derive joy and great satisfaction from assisting people in need. I live in Chichester having emigrated to the UK in 2017 from South Africa. I have been married for 50 years, have a wonderful husband, three adult children and five grandchildren. I have been in care for five years prior to being a Social Worker. I have a well developed sense of humour and have many personal interests, including reading, walking, gardening, cooking, sport, birding and classical music amongst many other interests. I have an NVQ2 certificate in Care as well as Level 2 NCFE Dementia Care. I am experienced in live-in care as well as domiciliary care. My experience includes: personal care, medication, moving and handling, dementia care, catheter care, food preparation, assisting Clients with MS and Parkinson’s, shopping, outings, palliative and End of Life care. My motivation and love is to enhance people’s lives no matter what circumstances they find themselves in and, to promote understanding, tolerance, diversity and happiness despite perceived or real challenges.
