I am a caring friendly individual who can communicate with people on all levels.
I have 7 years care experience including 1 year’s RGN training, caring for the elderly including my mother, who had dementia and working with abused children in a residential home. I have been an outreach worker placing young people with learning difficulties in further education and have been volunteering in the Cancer Unit at Guys Hospital,
I believe it is important to encourage all clients to engage in conversation in order to ascertain what their needs and preferences and what - If any -
Interests they have. I love hearing about peoples lives, families, jobs etc and have seen dementia clients general mental well -being improve if encouraged to speak about themselves.
I am flexible as far as hours are concerned so can do a couple of hours or whole days. I can drive but don’t have a car as I live in central London.
