Natasha worked as a full-time, private, day-carer for my father between June 2022 and January 2023. My father’s care needs were very complex as a result of stroke and sepsis following surgery. In order to provide effective care for my father (in his own home) a very experienced carer was required. During Natasha’s tenure, she clearly demonstrated that she is a very competent, compassionate and empathetic care-giver. Natasha has proven herself to be hard-working, reliable and trustworthy, and quickly developed a close and effective relationship with my father and the wider family, providing any support, as required. It is my personal view that Natasha consistently operated above and beyond her call of duty. Natasha’s duties, included (but were not limited to): Provision of full personal care; Continence care (including conveens and commode); Dressing & undressing; Application of medical dressings, as required; Administering of medication 4 x daily; Preparation and cooking of fresh meals and drinks, as required Rehabilitation exercises; Pressure relief care; Assisting and attending any hospital appointments or in-home visits by medical professionals (e.g. physiotherapists, district nurses, doctors, podiatrists etc); Guiding and directing any secondary carers that also attended several times during the day; Undertaking transfers using hoists from bed to chair etc (including commode); Undertaking of housework, as required; Natasha was extremely pro-active in her approach to my father’s care and well-being and would always take responsibility for ensuring any concerns or changes in his condition were addressed by either her directly, or a member of the family. This was particularly evident when my father’s care plan changed from general ‘Day-to-day’ care to ‘End of Life’ care. The support Natasha has provided has been exemplary in all areas and I have no hesitation for recommending Natasha as a professional and experienced carer.
