Description
Through almost 6 years of care I’ve built experience to work not only with elderly people with learning disabilities, and some physical disabilities too but also in the Autistic Spectrum epilepsy, schizophrenia, visual and hearing empairment, in adults and children as well.
I like to make them feel important, secure, heard, respected and I feel very enthusiastic when I can see improvements from the previous condition.
It’s important to respect each individual’s life history as being part of their own individuality.
I like to be told what they want and what makes them happy so as to find a way of building it together whenever possible.
I initially took Care and Support courses in other countries , which cleared me out lots of doubts and made clear the importance of a role like this. Gave me knowkedge and strategies to apply in varied situations. However there’s a lot more to learn everyday.
Here I took many courses, more technical and important too.
I also speak and write Portuguese and Spanish very well.
I treat people I care like I would like to be treated under the same circumstances.
