Description
Hi there! Firstly I need to make it clear that I don't drive! I'm new to the platform but not new to care! 😁 I worked through an agency for two years and have been working for a few private spinal and muscular dystrophic clients for the last five years doing 2 week on/off shift patterns. I have experience with dementia, spinal, motor neurons, cerebral palsy and muscular distrophy.
I am comfortable with and have experience in bowel care, including manual evacuation, PEG feeding and catheters.
I'm a really down to earth person, love a good chat about nature, music, history and current affairs. I also respect the need for alone time and like to get on with my own research/interests when not needed. I have many hobbies including BMX, coding, ukulele, yoga, reading, painting and traveling.
I used to work in hospitality before care , doing event work so have been used to working odd hours for years.
I also work as an expedition leader for an ethical tourism company taking students on volunteering projects to Africa and Asia.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Ali

Alison worked as my live in PA for 2 years on 1 week on/off shifts. I am a tetraplegic with high care and support needs and i employ my own PA's to help me live the life I want to lead. She was an excellent PA who picked up tasks quickly, used her initiative, worked hard and was very trustworthy. She assisted me with washing, dressing, blow drying, hoist transfers, pressure sore management, positioning in bed and wheelchair and many other personal care tasks. She also cooked for me, did the laundry, shopping, kept my house clean and tidy and fed my cat. Alison accompanied me to work events and assisted me with administrative tasks. She is kind and fun to be with and 100% honest.
