I am Constance (Connie) Chiseve. I am a mature live in carer with 19 years care experience. 10 of the 19 years have been in live in care positions. Iam HMRC registered and have cares insurance in place.Prior to doing live in I worked in residential and nursing homes and did domiciliary care. I also worked as a support worker with people with learning and physical disabilities. I have a teaching background so working with people has been part of my life. I enjoy my work and am quite confident in what I do. I am organised and trustworthy. I provide all aspects of care to those who can no longer manage to do so without help. I have a compassionate and patient approach to my work and I believe in promoting independence where possible. I endeavour to base my approach to work on a person centered approach because I do understand that no two individuals are the same. I offer choice and involvement and respect people's dignity and privacy. My care experience includes working with the elderly that can no longer manage on their own, people with ailments like MS, Alzheimer’s, stroke, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s, mobility issues
catheter care, stoma bags. I assist with medication giving or prompting clients to take medication. Where there are mobility I can help transfering using ceiling and manual hoists and relative standing aids. I help with personal care meal preparation and helping with feeding where needed. I do light house work including laundry. l have good communication and management skills. I enjoy watching real life dramas and documentaries and quizes word games. I do a bit of knitting and crocheting. I enjoy freshly home cooked food.
