I have worked as a carer in the UK for 11 years working in Nursing Homes, Residential settings and in support living in, with people with the elderly and people with Learning Disabilities.
I have always enjoyed helping other people with their day-to-today lives, so I love what I do.
I work had to keep all of my qualifications and training up to date, and of course, i work hard for my clients too. I focus on keeping my client independent in their homes by encouraging them to exercise their minds and their bodies as much as is appropriate, as well as making sure that they have choices over their clothing, food and every other aspect of their lives.
Personally, i enjoy shopping and holidays especially when the weather is good I enjoy television when I am indoors and reading I am a very cheerful person I love to hear stories and also telling my stories too. I always do my training every year which I think is a good thing for any carer who is in this industry. If my clients enjoy going out, for example the Cinema, Bingo, i enjoy doing that too.
