Hi I'm a 60 year old female. I am married and have been for 36 years . I am South African by birth and still reside there sharing my time between UK and SA. I have a British passport through my dad.
I have two adult children and 3 grandchildren.
I have been in the ministry pastoral care for the last 30 years .
I have helped my husband build a lovely church where he is the senior leader.
Over the last 7 years I have been working as a carer in the UK. The length of my stays increased radically during the covid years.
For the last 3 years I have been with an amazing lady in Henley-on-Thames. I am still with her working with and alternating my time with another carer.
Since my son moved to Bognor Regis I have decided to try get work nearer to him so that I can see him and my grandchildren from time to time.
I am healthy, happy and very reliable. All my clients love me and beg me to stay.
I love people. I love entertaining and being the go to person
I have worked with a lady who had a stroke and severe depression , I worked with a team of 4 carers here as the lady needed to be lifted.
I've worked with vascular dementia and parkinsons as well as osteoarthritis
I am confident efficient as well as a good team member when working in groups.
I did my care certificate through miracle workers in Wales as well as the Welsh social services.
In saying that I have worked in various places in the UK
I have continued to educate myself in regards to the different aspects of care services
I am a good driver and taken my clients to most of their medical and social appointments.
If it doesn't sound too boastful I would love to be my own carer in my old age.
