Description

I am an experienced and qualified carer with over 20 years of experience in the Health and Social Care Services. I have had the privilege to work with many people from different backgrounds including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Diabetes, elderly, children and young adults. I am very familiar with the legislation and have been a registered manager with CQC up to until last July 2020. I however have hands on experience from my current job where I work as relief staff for young adults with learning disabilities.
My aim and desire is to provide high quality healthcare, care and support for those I will be supporting. I strongly believe that every individual has a right to live life as they want, therefore I use the person-centred approach in my line of work and provide safe and compassionate care. I promote and uphold the privacy, dignity, rights, health and wellbeing of the people I support or look after. I am a very easy going person full of passion of what I do. I love my work as a carer and I could not imagine myself doing anything else.

I strive to built an honest and trustworthy working relationship by being transparent in all I do including improving myself through training and development. There is plenty of training available for me and I ensure that I train to improve my confidence and competence as well as keeping up to date with current situations or legislations.

I speak English fluently and communicate in an open and effective manner to promote health, safety and wellbeing. It is satisfying to see a person making their own informed decisions and choices, being empowered and included in everything therefore promoting their independence.

As a matter of respect, I seek for consent and involve the person I am caring for taking action in regards to their care. Communication is a vital part of my work and therefore I ensure that everything is discussed or communicated in a respectable manner to the person I am supporting.

I had Lynette V as a carer for my mother. Sadly my mother passed away in October. She was an excellent carer whose care I could not fault. She was always punctual and someone who I could rely on totally. She was always cheerful and looking for ways to stimulate my mother. She became her "friend" and provided best care always . As a senior nursing Sister myself I would recommend as a carer without hesitation.

I used Lynette for nightsit when my mother was unwell. Lynnette was very kind, punctual easy to communicate with. My mum had the best care. I would certainly highly recommend Lynnette to anyone seeking care for their loved ones.
