Description
I am a mature non smoking Christian lady carer with 18 years caring experience in different areas/sectors of health care.
I love to make a difference in peoples lives by supporting them to live their lives to their maximum potential.
I am a responsible, reliable and emphatic person with a good sense of humour, I am able to follow set guidelines/procedures and so I can work well on my own and use my initiative and I am also a good team player able to support/work towards a common goal.
I am a quick learner and keen observer which helps me to get on well with especially my elderly clients.
I have gained experience in various work settings e.g hospitals, residential homes, nursing homes, mental health facilities, school and college, sheltered accommodation and also peoples private homes.
I have been privileged to support lovely people with diverse care needs e.g adult/elderly and children/young people, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, spinal injury, mental health, anxiety, OCD, depression dementia, palliative care, Huntington's disease, anaphylaxis, stoma care, peg feeds, catheter care, personal assistant etc.
I like watching documentaries, real life stories, food channel, cooking, crossword, talking/chatting and gospel music and reading.
Am not keen on pets as I have a phobia of dogs but i dont mind fish since they dont leave the fish tank and i can even feed them!
I am happy to support both male and female clients.
I mainly prefer to do waking nights but I could do days too.
I am fairly flexible and can work weekend nights too at a different rate. I do not work on Sunday daytime. I can live-in to cover holiday periods occassionally at an agreed rate.
Although I have opted not to take the COVID-19 vaccine for personal reasons, i use alternative ways to protect myself from covid, I do take 2 LFTs every week to safeguard myself those around me while also following all the other COVID protocols as stipulated by the government.
See you soon!
