Description

Caring has been a passion of mine from an early age and after having my first child, it has motivated me more to become a carer. I want to work with and support vulnerable people in all aspect of life. Also, the reason why I want to become a carer is to do a worthwhile career and I am willing to learn new skills and methods of working to achieve my goals. I believe that health and well being play a vital role in people’s lives; therefore I have always admired people that work in the health industry. I am a flexible and adaptable individual with experience working as part of a team and able to work under pressure. I have gained various skills and experiences, which I would say, make me a good candidate for the position.
Having completed on-line healthcare training and e-learning courses have helped me to understand various aspects of healthcare support worker. These courses have given me a strong foundation of knowledge in the clinical practice work place.
I work well with people as I am currently working as a support worker with Complete Care Solution, which is a supported living accommodation, dealing with people with learning disabilities (autism) and mental health problems. My role is to support and encouraged them to be independent with their day to day activities. This job has fascinated me to help people who are facing problems. I have been able to work with and understand the service user I am supporting. I assist service users with their personal care, dressing up and undressing, going out and about, supporting with feeding and drinking, Interacting with service users and engaging them into activities of their choices. I also assist service users with their practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve.
Whiles doing this job, I was assigned to work with a service user in an inpatient ward at Goodmayes Hospital. The service user I am working with has a diagnosis of mode
