Description
My name is Annette Angelbauer, I am from South Africa. My late husband and I arrived in the UK in December 2007. I speak Afrikaans and English. I have a strong personality. I am very organised and am an early riser. I am also a routine person and like to do and be on time.
I like to do live-in care, that way I can get to know my client and enjoy the opportunity we can give each other. I love to care for the elderly and frail. They have so much wisdom and can teach us carers a part of life we dont know. Most of my clients were in their eighties and nineties. My very first client was Marjory she was a 101 years old but still completely compos mentis.
I started working in a care home and got all my training and experience over the 5 years I spent there. I have intensive experience in different stages of Dementia, Altzheimers and parkinsons. I did 3 years day shift and two years night shift. I also have experience with many different types of equipment eg.
Peg feed
Stoma bag
Catheter (inserted in the bladder)
Condom catheter
Various hoists
Sliding sheets
I also do end of life care.
I usually assist my client getting out of bed, to do personal hygiene, mouth hygiene, dress. I do all the cooking, three
meals. I see that my client's hair and nails are always neat, well dressed. I do the basic cleaning and keep the environment hygienically clean. I do their laundry. I like to keep them company unless they prefer to be alone.
Lastly, I want to say I am a Christian but do not mind caring for somebody from other religions. I am an animal lover therefore do not mind having them around me. If you feel that I would be compatible for you or your loved one please contact me for an interview.

I would highly recommend Annette after she took good care of my 92 yo mum with dementia and mobility issues. Annette is so kind, caring and very competent. Mum loved her being around. She has been very good with communication throughout the process and always punctual. I will definitely be booking Annette in the future when we need a break or extra assistance.

Annette has looked after my mum over the last few months. My mum had very aggressive form of dementia and Annette’s patience and care meant that my mum was in the best possible care until she passed. Annette kept us updated and went above and beyond to ensure that my mum was looked after and had peace and passed in her own home.
