Hi,my name is Penina. I've 19 years of care experience,12 years as a live in carer,worked in various care settings,residential,supported living,domiciliary,nursing homes. I am a reliable,conscientious,hardworking and responsible person with a warm and friendly personality. I am caring,compassionate,empathetic,patient and have excellent communication skills and a good listener,love to meet and engage with new people. I have gained experience in working with people with middle to late stage of dementia,parkinson's,stroke,elderly,visual impairment,challenging behaviour,alzheimer's disease,incontinence care,catheter care. I am passionate about caring for people and value all of my placements and jobs as they have shaped me into the carer I am now. I am an adaptable person,I try to base my work style on a person centred model,making sure the clients needs and wishes are always at the centre of everything I do. I have respect for the people I care for. I enjoy being a carer as I find great joy in helping people who can't help themselves and don't mind going the extra mile within reason and I work at their pace.
I am competent with ceiling hoist aswell as the manual. I have level 2 certificate in health and social care.
