My role as a carer is to support and assist my client with day to tasks according to their individual care plans .I am a reliable empathetic and caring individual who is effective in clients care whilst maintaining their private dignity and values .I always try to work in accordance with best interest for my clients and with respect of their choices and I also in return I also need to be valued and respected
I have had lots of experience in care but the last job I worked was very rewarding and I enjoyed very much working with a lady how had lost her husband and she was suffering from a stroke . She was very stressed and in tears all the time but together through my counselling skills she was happy again we both enjoyed working relationship .
I am a Christian and grew up in a big happy family who always looked after one another
That is where I first learned the importance of love, care and family
I enjoy family moments with my grandchildren and friends.
My hobbies are leisure walks and out door activities eg gardening and playing games like table tennis and squash
I also love tv soaps tv drama and family shows and sports especially football ,
car racing horse racing
I also enjoying reading novels and my favourite authors is Josephine Cox and Jo wood
I love to be tidy and to keep my home and surroundings clean as well as cook basic healthy meals
I have qualifications in level 2 and 3 in adult and young health and social care as well as a certificate in counselling skills
I have trainings in Dementia awareness and methods of how to look after someone with dementia , Heath and safety & Coshh at home and at work . First Aid assessment , Manual handling , Safe handling of Medicines and Food and hygiene
I have worked with elderly client with complex needs Learning and physical disabilities Dementia supporting in medication ,personal care ,bathing ,washing feeding , and most of all building a good working relationship and making them feel safe
