Maria was my aunt’s primary carer from February 2018 until her death in August 2021. My aunt had dementia and needed 24/7 care. The family lives a distance away and we have totally relied on Maria to care for my aunt, administer her medication, be her companion and so much more. We have had total peace of mind knowing the phenomenal level of care Maria has given since day one. There have been numerous health emergencies and hospital stays over the years, plus of course the navigation of Covid-19 measures in more recent times. Maria always went above and beyond to ensure my aunt maintained her ties with her friends and neighbours, organised birthday gatherings and accompanied her to lunches and events when my aunt became too frail to go by herself. She always kept us informed of all that was going on. My aunt was happy and relieved to have Maria around and there is absolutely no doubt that Maria improved her quality of life by allowing her to live out her final years in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her friends. Whoever Maria cares for next will be very fortunate.
