Description
I have been caring professionally for over 16 years and my client fall in a wide category. I have cared for children with disabilities, hard of hearing, vision impairment. Adults with spinal injury, Parkinson's, stroke, diabetes, multiple sclerosis. Elderly with dementia, Alzheimer’s, strokes, poor mobility, frail, bed bound, and other age related conditions.
I am also available at short notice for post operative care or just to cover emergency and respite breaks.
I am also good company, kind natured, patient, well organised, a good cook. I love animals, I love gardening and adapt well to most circumstances. I have used a lot of aids and equipment whilst caring for clients and have received plenty of training using the most updated equipment. I invest in myself and attend regular training to enable me to support my clients to the best of my ability. I will share knowledge and good practice.
I have a full clean driving license, should the need arise for hospital appointments or other short journeys. As well as being a full time carer, I am currently also pursuing an online degree in Public Health and in addition to my care training, can apply theory to practice.
Having worked with over 100 clients, I can offer support and advice with regards to equipment, technology and other new and ongoing tools that can assist clients with their care and independent living.
I can also be relied on to work with clients who may have family living too far away. I am reliable, accountable and work along a client confidentiality model.
Companionship is just as important as care needs and I can offer good conversation on a wide range of topics and current affairs. I enjoy talking about the past and history with my more elderly clients, particularly those with dementia who's long term memory is better. We learn from each other.
Thank you for looking at my profile and I wish you the very best in your search.
Best wishes
Rosma

Rosma looked after me on three occasions following surgical procedures. I could not have chosen better. She is a delightful, kind and intelligent lady and it was a pleasure to have her with me. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Rosma looked after my mother and father (both in their 90s) for several weeks at a tricky time when they first needed a live-in carer. She was professional, experienced and thoughtful. She helped us all work out what we needed and how best to put a team in place. She also took great care to involve my mother in helping her do things through the day, which made a real difference to my mother's wellbeing. I would highly recommend Rosma for good sense, advice and kindness.

Rosma is absolutely fine as a carer. She had all the skills I need and she is smart, with more than two brain cells to rub together. She does a lot academically and has a natural empathy for disabled people as she has a very disabled adult daughter. The hours between three and five in the afternoon are sacrosanct, as she works online with an autistic woman, writing her emails and letters, study notes etc., which is fine so long as if you keep regular hours yourself.
