My name is Gabriella Y. and I have been a home carer for 16 years. I started out as an overnight carer, but I have since transitioned to live-in care. I have a lot of experience with different types of care, including dementia, autism spectrum disorders, and anxiety and depression. I really enjoy helping people to live as independently as possible, and I find it very rewarding to see them make progress. Gabriella worked with my mother and family for over 5 years, and I felt this was sufficient time for us to get to know her true qualities. Gabriella was respectful, caring and appropriately curious about getting to know my mothers individual needs. Gabriella was tentative when faced with sensitive situations, this was in her dialogue and body language. Gabriella was insightful, knowledgeable and also able to use humour. We have many fond memories, which has contributed to my mother being cared for to an exceptional standard, which Gabriella was part of. Gabriella was able to provide care on many levels and this also included administration and keeping excellent book keeping records where required. Gabriella will always be remembered by my family for the wonderful care that she was able to provide to our mother, and us as her family.
