Now that my children are all grown and have left home, this is my time to follow my passion caring for people. I am a mature woman, enthusiastic, hardworking, good communicator able to communicate clearly and effectively. I have good transferable skills eg. good listening skills, professional relationship building skills. I am honest and trustworthy. I am a good cook as I like to cook food from scratch, those hearty English warm meals. I love a good laugh and have a very good sense of humour. Always willing to learn.
I have 20 years continuous work experience in different care settings, from care home, domiciliary care, support work with mental health, learning disability mainly working with adults. A career I really and truly enjoy. In the past years I worked as a live-in-carer for an elderly couple. I have enjoyed this more and here is why. Having worked in a care home and comparing that with living in your own home I can relate with people that want to continue to live in their own home and live independently and continue to do things they have always enjoyed doing for as long as they can.
Whilst working with this couple I interacted with the client, I promoted independence, dignity and choice offering person centred support as per individual’s care and support needs.
Over the years I have acquired relevant experience, confidence and training enabling me to offer individuals the care they deserve whilst in the comfort of their own home. Enabling individuals to live a fulfilling life and that puts a smile on my face, its Priceless..
My hobbies and interests are going for walks, sight seeing, reading, a good holiday and eating out.
I am currently looking for clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting.
My rates may increase or decrease depending on the clients conditions this can be discussed during the meet and greet meeting.

Nyarai is thoughtful, caring, reliable and conscientious. She has provided full time live in care for my mother over the past year. During this time she has been supportive both physically and emotionally to my mother.

Nyarai is a very harmonious person to have in the house, and quickly established a happy relationship with me and the family and with other carers, falling in with my daily routine. She is cheerful and encouraging, gives advice tactfully and clearly. She is gentle giving intimate care, very thorough and efficient. Nyarai is physically strong - I feel totally safe with her. She has a nice sense of humour. She enjoys cooking and thinks up very nice meals. She's very good at taking phone messages, and also at reminding me of things forgotten. I feel extremely fortunate to have Nyarai looking after me.

Nyarai is a carer to my Granny (Kitty), and after having spent time with her and seen her care for Kitty, I can say she is an exceptional and highly professional carer! She is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable, with many years of experience behind her. Therefore, she has the capability to attune to the individual she is caring for and adapt her practice to suit their unique needs and boundaries. For example, Kitty values her own independence, and Nyarai is able to deliver a tailored caring style which maintains Kitty's dignity and sense of self whilst ensuring she is well and looked after. Furthermore, she is a deeply warm and loving person, who is sensitive and respectful. Nyarai is a caring person, hence why she is so confident and adept in her role! She is undoubtedly a gem of a person to have care for you.

My mother-in-law is being wonderfully cared for by Nyarai, who lives in. Nyarai is constantly aware of my mother-in-law's needs, but yet she sits in the background giving my M-i-L the space and privacy that is so important to her and to those who visit her. Nyarai is intuitive and reads people and situations very well. She is diplomatic, pragmatic, warm, engaging, gentle and respectful. She is empathetic and very caring. We can all fully relax around Nyarai and she feels like part of our family, which is no mean feat!

Nyarai is an exceptional carer with many years of experience. She has been caring for my 90 year old mother with such care and attention and has quickly established a really warm and Natural relationship with her. Nyarai is such an asset in so many ways, not only as a wonderful carer for mum but also a lovely person spend time with when we come and stay.
