Catherine was a 24 hr carer/PA for my mother from February 2016-September 2020 when she died. I always found her to be honest , reliable and able to provided a high standard of care. My mother suffered a stroke which left her with left sided paralysis, Vascular Dementia and other Mental Health disorders which meant that she had specialist heath care needs. On a daily basis Cathy provided her with companionship, conversation, Personal Care ,administered Medication and prepared nutritious meals. She would take her out shopping, for coffee, lunch or afternoon tea and they formed a close bond over the years. Cathy was always professional, dedicated, capable and is passionate to help others. Cathy was also motivated to keep herself up to date with Manual Handling, Fire and Resuscitation study days.. Cathy is capable of providing a high standard of care both physically and emotionally while maintaining her client’s dignity. As you can tell I think very highly of her and would be happy to recommend her for any future employment as a caregiver. I am a retired healthcare professional and worked for 45 years in the NHS as a register Nurse and Midwife.

I worked with Catherine at various live in placements where I was the Senior Personal Assistant supporting various clients 24 hours a day weekly in all aspects of their day to day living. I have known Catherine for 15 years now and have worked closely alongside her during this time. She has proven to be invaluable, she has been a tremendous support both for other carers and clients, and maintained emotional resilience in some of the most challenging placements . She has gone above and beyond her duties, particularly when clients and their families face challenges , are extremely poorly, offering both emotional and practical support. Catherine has some wonderful qualities, she is professional in her approach towards caring for clients and has a kind and caring nature, she has proven to be both reliable and trustworthy not only towards the clients but also the team of carers she worked with . She has shown a flexible attitude with her working hours, always punctual, with a willingness to change her shifts to cover sickness or to extend her hours in order to accompany clients abroad on holiday. She is articulate, has a positive attitude, has a variety of skills that enhances the quality of an individual’s life. She is calm under pressure, is courteous and respects the need for privacy. She coordinated well with healthcare providers identifying the changing needs to clients and updating their care plans appropriately when needed. She worked well with family members and looked after clients pets and respecting their dignity, maintaining confidentiality and looking after their private property. She is very clean with excellent housekeeping skills and cooks tasty nutritious meals. If you would like to speak further on my experience of working with Catherine please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
