"I am a compassionate, reliable, honest, caring, honest, punctual, dedicated, passionate and committed carer whose purpose has been the promotion of clients’ wellbeing. I have cared for many people, male and female alike, with differing complex needs having done community nursing, attending to mostly home-bound service users, administering peg feeds, cleaning and changing stoma, emptying and changing catheters, administering blister-pack medication, checking vital signs and blood sugars, undertook hourly day care of elderly and not-so-elderly persons with mental health support needs, preparing food, cleaning, shopping and taking them out for fresh air.
My companionship skills, founded in excellent communication and politeness, are second to none; I have absolute respect for individual dignity and confidentiality. Above all, a healthy eating enthusiast and practitioner, I take great pride in making healthy food. For persons who cannot chew, I am ever happy and ready to adapt the food to suit them. My caring is always person-centred and, my joy consists in the happiness and comfort of my client. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games (chess, scrabble, word searches, monopoly and ludo; ever ready to learn new games. I also enjoy watching football games, enjoy listening to (jazz) music especially while enjoying my passion in the kitchen. I have no difficulty adapting a service user's food to suit them and their taste preference. Where necessary, I hold a clean, UK driver’s licence in case the need for driving arises."
