Description

It gives me a great opportunity to write this supporting summary. Having understood the job/person description of the position, I am confident that I am a great fit for this role. The criteria for this position highlight my trainings, qualifications and job experiences especially in the field of health and social care. As a graduate of MSc developmental psychology and having worked with different service users needing personalised care, living with either learning disabilities along other psychological and physical challenges, I feel very competent to function properly in this role with the intention of putting smiles on the faces of those I support. I have the professional experience to give personal-centred care, support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients.
Being a guy full of humour, I like to make those around me feel very comfortable with plenty of laughs even during difficult or challenging time.
With my decades of experience in working with children, adults and the aged, as a teacher, librarian, lecturer, and healthcare support worker, I have learned the importance of all the professional and ethical principles to function properly in any healthcare setting. This stems from respect, care to fairness. This is because respecting the individuals we render services to is the pyramid of user satisfaction and fulfilment. Hence, treating others with respect and without prejudice are relevant values to function as a carer. In addition, the attitude of being able to show compassion to others in society especially those needing support is a skill I have grown over time. Also, showing compassion to service users as well as helping them to develop and support their life skills is a major goal for a healthcare support worker.
