I enjoy being a carer because I'm from a loving family and we take good care of each other.
I love doing the same with my patients and making sure they are comfortable and that bring me satisfaction, making sure they have great company, preparing their meals and medications and taking them out or shopping for my clients .
I have worked in residential care and in clients’ homes. I have completed training in moving and handling, Food and Hygiene, promoting privacy and dignity, safeguarding adults and children, communication and mental health.
I've worked with a dementia client, and she was not stable, and I provided companionship and then I was prompting her to take medication, cooking and giving personal care like dressing and washing and preparing her choice of meals. I made sure her home was tidy. This client was confused so I stepped in to make her life easier.
I love to read, watch movies and sightseeing outside of my work. Thank you.

Dede was an exceptional carer who really went above to make sure things were done. We have had many carers before her and were very glad when mum took a quick liking to her. She worked with my family when she cared for my mum who had dementia. Dede was flexible and cared for my mum like she was family. She paid attention to the details in the care of my mum. She made sure my mum was taken care of from the beginning of the day until my mum retires. She bathed her, changed bedding , made all her meals and ensured my mum took all her medications at the given times. She knew how to calm mum during her episodes when she was confused and anxious. She also made sure to take her for strolls and to the cafe to enjoy tea and cake. She also made sure mum attended dementia groups and all the support activities lined up for mum. Dede also cooked mums meals as per her diet. My mum missed her anytime Dede went home for her breaks or holidays. My family appreciated Dede because of her professionalism and dedication to looking after mum.
