Description
After working for years in an incredibly stressful office environment, I have decided that I wanted to do something different and really help people, so I have chosen to become a carer. I have been a live in carer for two years now, looking after clients with complicated needs such as Dementia and Parkinsons Disease. I am a calm compassionate person, always getting to appointments on time even when the schedule is very busy. I have a great attention to detail, to keep on top of complex tasks, I also have qualifications in Reflexology, massage and barbering, all to enhance my clients quality of life. I am a great cook and can offer a variety of dishes and cooking styles that fit with my clients requirements. I am also trained in using the Elkchair to help the client to get up if they fall. I'm also trained in using Condom catheters for male clients with night time incontinent problems. I will be happy to discuss any specific requirements, to make sure I provide a tailored individual approach to each one of my clients and their family. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Past time and activities I enjoy Gardening , I love to take landscape photographs on long walks. I enjoy cycling in countryside and open roads. I love yoga and the tranquility that it brings to the mind and body. I hope to take teachers training at some point, so I can share this amazing practice with my clients who are open to it. To help them get back to a state of calm and acceptance.

Colin was my brothers live in carer from August 2020 until he moved to a nursing home in December 2021. My brother has advanced Parkinson’s disease and Colin cared for him with compassion , empathy and kindness. Colin managed a complex regime of medication my brothers personal care needs and supported him to attend a variety of appointments both locally and in London. Colin formed a meaningful and trusting relationship with my brother and the family . Colin went above and beyond in his care for my brother and supported him to explore alternative therapies to assist with symptom relief . Colin liaised appropriately with relevant Healthcare professionals my brother and family before commencing anything. Colin is in my view an excellent carer and I would have no difficulty in recommending him.
