Hello there!
My name is Ruth and I am a carer with experience spanning over 10 years, caring for people with wide ranging conditions. I take each new carer role as an opportunity to use my skills. I became a carer as a second job, but it soon became my main one, because I found it so fulfilling.
I am compassionate, empathic and enjoy my work as a carer. I am consistent and reliable, creating dependability for loved ones, during what might be a difficult time. I work in an enabling way, encouraging and assisting at all times.
I was with my last client for 6 years as the main carer. I became a member of his family in the process and have formed positive lasting relationships with them.
I am a very flexible and adaptable carer with a lot of common sense.

She always arrived on time, was very kind to both the client and the client's visitors. She communicated well and was very knowledgable about food allergies. She immediately knows what to do and just got on with it. Her attitude to the client was just superb.

It's very early days, but from the moment I met Ruth she seemed ideal for my mum. This is only her second day so it's difficult to give too much detail but she's a fantastic communicator, always stays in touch and wasn't phased by any aspect of care required. I actually left the house with a sigh of relief and a feeling of hope that we have at last found the right carer! Based on first impressions as a family, we are very happy.
