Description
Hello,
My name is Nicky, I am a caring and compassionate individual. I like the great outdoors so in my spare time I like to walk, bike and visit different places, I am also fairly well traveled and enjoy new places and experiences. I would say there are two sides to my character one being caring and compassionate and the other being more extrovert and curious. People would describe me as trustworthy, honest, positive and reliable.
I have worked within Health and Social care for 20 years, I have worked within different areas of care, such as home care, residential care, day care and supported with a variety of different needs, such as Dementia, Mobility, Learning difficulties, Diabetes, Epilepsy, people dealing with multiple conditions and communication needs, and End of life care. I have also worked in a variety of different roles such as management, recruitment, Team leader and Senior carer.
Within this 20 year period I also spent 8 years within the training world , where I taught health and social care qualifications to carers and students wanting to come into Health and Social care.
I have an immense passion for helping others to live as fulfilled life as is possible. Being a carer gives me this satisfaction. To know I have supported someone to be as independent as possible and still be able to live at home, brings me great satisfaction.
