I have a positive and calm disposition which is very important in this sector. As well as being able to build rapport with clients to achieve the goals of meeting their care needs. A therapeutic approaches to care is very important to my feelings of accomplishments as well as knowing the clients are happy as to how I conduct myself in my professional capacity.
I am flexible with work and also ensure that my client is assured of my support and the level of service is the best they can hope for.
It is about bringing positive changes to people's lives and helping them to gain their independence as well as having a meaningful life within their own homes.
During my care work with Sandwell Council Borough as Home Support Assistant, I greatly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to work with various clients intensely in their recovery journey. It was particularly rewarding have to be part of someone's support system to gaining their health back or having a meaningful impact on their daily care.
Being able to have conversations in all aspects of life and laughs was enjoyable as well as a I was part of the positive things in their life.
I am caring by nature and therefore not shy in helping were needed but doing this with almost respect and dignity. At the same time promoting independence and wellbeing.
Helping client to enjoy being in their own homes and working with them to maintain that feeling is very important to me. Afterall, they have loads of memories of that space and time they have created. Having meaningful conversations with families on how best to support their love ones is also a good way to care for my clients. Most times, these talks with families can make a difference in the quality of care provided.
In summary, I love and enjoy the feeling of being able to make a difference in each client's daily wellbeing and life.
