Description

My name is Machema. Known as ema for short, I have 21 years of experience.
I have good communication skills demonstrated in my current job role as a bank healthcare assistant at a local hospital. I also have the nursing skill of empathy, fostering positive therapeutic relationships with patients. I can empathise with patients, and I have good attending behaviour skills.
I have developed a minimal understanding of applying policy and legislation when providing patient care and support. I also understand frameworks such as the Human Rights Act (1998) and Equality Act (2014). I advocate for patient involvement in care decisions on the realisation that patients are the experiential experts of their health issues.
I am a suitable candidate for this role as I have already completed a Foundation degree in Health and Social care. This has given me a head start in gaining research skills for using resources for assessments or information to inform my clinical practice and decision-making. Since I demonstrated a positive attitude when engaging with the Foundation degree in Health and Social care, I successfully passed the following Level 5 modules such as “Collaborative health and social care”, “Health promotion-challenges and opportunities”, “Group dynamics and working in teams”, “Empowerment and advocacy”, “Planning care delivery” and “Working for Older people” for which understanding nursing care was fundamental.
I have developed an effective work-life balance, using practical time management skills that would assist me in planning effectively. I also have gained research skills to navigate resources for assessments or information to inform my clinical practice or within any healthcare setting.

I've worked with Machemma for a few years as her ward manager. She is trustworthy, conscientious, hardworking, polite, considerate and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble to do for her patients and they were always at the centre of everything she did. She is professional at all times in delivers high quality care in a respectful and non judgemental manner.

Machema is one of the most caring people I have ever met, she puts 100% in her role, she is compassionate, and takes her role seriously, she was always very well liked by the patients and nothing was too much for her, a hard worker. She is very polite and loves her work. She is a team player and fits in well. I enjoyed working with her.
