Description
Hello, my name is Kimberley and I am a self-employed professional private carer that has just moved to Bristol from Bournemouth.
I have extensive experience working in health and social care (6+ years), and have been self-employed as a private carer for almost 3 years. I have supported adults with learning difficulties and disabilities, mental health conditions (children and adults), and domiciliary care for the elderly. I also have experience supporting people with complex psychological needs. I have a BSc Psychology (honours) degree and aspire to become a clinical psychologist.
I have a lot of training under my belt, this includes: emergency first aid, Prevention and Management in Violence and Aggression (PMVA), Breakaway, Moving and Handling, therapeutic engagement, assertiveness, infection control, fire safety, safe handling of medication, safeguarding children and adults (level 2), and I am certified with The Care Certificate. I am DBS certified and insured with Public Liability.
I also have experience and competence in liaising with other health care professionals, such as district nurses, GP's, occupational therapists, hospitals, other carers/agencies, and more. I can handle this on your behalf or for your loved one, and relay any necessary or important information. I also have experience handling care plans and maintaining a high standard of record keeping.
I strongly believe putting 100% into what I love doing, with kindness, empathy, and patience. I value providing individualised person-centered care to all my clients. I am highly organised, punctual, relaxed and reliable. I have excellent communication skills, and always have a smiley face. I promote privacy, dignity and equality for all people, and I will go the extra mile to provide the best care possible. I am happy and comfortable to support all health care needs required (inc. personal care, mobility support, and more).

Kimberley has been really caring and reliable. She has a mature and customer-focused approach and used her initiative to do anything extra that she saw was needed. She was a pleasure to have her helping and I heartily recommend her.
