Description
Through 17 years of social care work, in both basic and high needs care, I have experienced many sides of care dealing with all sorts of situations. I can safely say I am well equipped to handle anything life may throw our way. I also have an NVQ2, in health and Social care.
My commitment, work ethic, and a clear sense of direction have been assets in the growth of my career, which has allowed me to care for some of the neediest and vulnerbale in our society. I have experience in various areas in my career such as personal care e.g. bathing/showering in its entirety, use of bath aids, care of eyes, finger-nail maintenance, toileting e.g. incontinence care, emptying catheter bags and applying convene, mobility and the use of hoists, etc. I also take great care to ensure pressure areas are avoided but that those present heal well by applying cream and by using simple dressing procedures. I am also happy to undertake practical domestic tasks, bed making/ linen washing, personal laundry, shopping and errands, light housework and administrative abilities, such as report writing.
I love what I do and look forward to having a cup of tea together soon.
