Description

Personal Statement.
Education/ Qualifications
In July 2020, I attained a 2nd class upper division degree, BSC Public Health and Health Promotion. I obtained an advance level 2 qualification in Accounting (AAT) which helps to improve my numerical skills in my field of work as part of my role involving administering of medication to clients. I have also acquired a level 2& 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
Experience:
I am a dedicated individual with over ten years of experience in the Social Care Sector. Currently employed by Anchor Hanover as Health Care Assistant. Large part of my role is providing care and support for residents and vulnerable residents based on person centred approach. Helping clients with their immediate needs such as washing, dressing, and maintaining their hygiene. Getting to know clients personally and providing them with emotional support and company, which contributes positively to their wellbeing.

Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients. Accompany clients to medical appointments, encouraged clients to participate in social and recreational activities. Observe, monitor and record client’s physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any change to a senior member of staff and administering of medication to residents, recording and updating care plans.
I am an efficient innovative and highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate concisely at all level. Able to listen emphatically, attentively and without judgment. Fluent in English and Dutch, Krio, Temne and Mende. I have excellent skills in initiating, developing and maintaining relationships with residents, families, colleagues, service users and multi partner agencies. As an individual, problem solving and the ability to act and make decision independently at critical moment has been an ability that has helped me tremendously in carrying out my task effectively.
