Description
My name is Najma F, and I am a compassionate person and an experienced carer. I commit to always providing safe and caring support that the client expects. Also, the type of support that is person-centred. I have worked in the care industry since I was 18 years old, my first job was a care assistant in a care home. But since then I have worked in many roles, including team leader in a nursing home, carer in the community and a care agency manager. Being in these different roles I gained many skills that help me to be a good carer. I worked with people who have a range of conditions such as Mild Cognitive Impairment, Parkinson's Disease, Anxiety, Depression, dementia and those who are bed-bound. I am able to provide hourly and overnight care, supporting you with bathing, toileting, dressing, catheter care, meal preparation and companionship.
I can drive which allows me to support you to appointments or outings as needed. Also, I have an experience of this, one of my previous client’s used to go to church once a week, she had her own specialised vehicle I used to drive her in.
Furthermore, I have my own car, ensuring that I can readily attend to my clients' needs without any transportation limitations.
I would describe myself as a friendly person who likes to have a chat but can also engage quietly as some clients prefer. It’s important to me to provide a supportive and comforting environment for those under my care.
In my spare time, I enjoy activities such as reading, playing card games, going gym, watching tele and socialising with friends and family. I’m fond of animals and am open to caring for some pets such as cats, fish, and birds.
For me being a carer is a role I enjoy and continue to enjoy. But I also think it’s such a rewarding role to support an individual to lead an independent life, maintaining their dignity and quality of life.
The well-being and comfort of my clients’ is my top priority. I strive to provide person-centred care that is needed.
