Having worked with people with health problems in the community team has equipped me to work in a challenging setting such as learning disability. I am able to engage with service users/clients in a therapeutic and meaning way, such areas include:
- Dementia of all types
- Down's syndrome
- Mild autism
- Non-specific learning disabilities and others
The area of experience for the last years has made me aware of government documents such as safeguarding of children, child protection and every child matters and I have an understanding of equal opportunity in the UK.
I will bring to this post active participation and consultation of clients in care planning, implementation, review and evaluation processes. I am a good team worker, a good communicator, and a good listener.
