Hello, my name is Gilbert A and I am a male home carer with experience in providing hourly and overnight care. I have worked with individuals who have poor or declining mobility, are bedbound, and have various forms of dementia such as Alzheimer's and Vascular dementia. Additionally, I have experience in supporting individuals with anxiety and mild cognitive impairment.
Although I have a car, I still have access to reliable transportation. My skills as a carer include assisting with eating and drinking, reminding clients to take their medication, helping with dressing, moving and handling, as well as bathing.
When I am not caring for others, I enjoy walking, dancing, cooking and baking. I find solace in solving puzzles and find joy in decorating. I am also a pet lover, particularly fond of dogs.
As a carer, I am known for being caring, friendly, and helpful. My motivation for being a carer stems from my desire to assist individuals in leading independent lives. I believe in the importance of providing support that allows individuals to maintain their dignity and autonomy while ensuring their safety and well-being.
