Description
I’ve worked as a carer from the age of 17-23. I have always been passionate about helping people while promoting their independence. I have many types of experience in working with service users with mobility difficulties, mental health and a range of other health impairments.
The main thing that I admire about what I’ve learnt from caring for others is patience. I believe this is extremely important as I understand each individual is different with different needs.
I am being relied on to deliever a service that I will do with the upmost care and dignity.
Working with clients that need support really has helped me in my everyday life and has given me so much insight. Building relationships with my clients to best support them is what I am most passionate about. I believe in my clients feeling as comfortable as possible. I will do everything within my control to make that happen.
Outside of work I enjoy being active and doing fun activities. I thrive in nature and feel at home. I really enjoy going on hikes and seeing different places around the world.
I also like being creative, whether that is painting or knitting or building something fun.
I love meeting and getting to know new people and learning from them. I believe this is why I love being a carer. I told my friend that I am applying to be a carer again and she said “your going to be so happy again”. I am a really happy person but being a carer takes that happiness to another level. I really enjoy my job and I hope to work with you in the future.
