Description
Hello my name is Beula, I have been working in the care sector for over 17 years now during which I have worked in different capacities from a hands on care assistant; assistant manager; person in charge; care coordinator; trainer to mention the few relevant. Being a carer is a rewarding career and fulfilling too being able to make a difference in one’s life everyday and putting a smile on one’s face gives me all the satisfaction at the end of each shift knowing I have helped an individual to maximise their full potential by empowering them to still take control of their personal care needs regardless of what is going on in that stage of their life. Still acknowledge the person behind that cancer or be it Dementia; Alzheimer’s or any sort of condition they might be living with.
My care experience ranges from Dementia; Alzheimer’s; Parkinson’s; cancer and end of life care; diabetes; old age frailty; companionship; peg fed; epilepsy; learning difficulties; again the list is endless. I am a trained first aider; moving and handling and dementia trainer; phlebotomist; medication administration ordering and management.
I am a great listener and have empathy and patience. I have an eye for attention to detail and above all have huge respect for people’s cultural and religious beliefs and values. I am very conscious about individuality uniqueness and treats everyone with respect and dignity. I am a very sociable person and very family oriented as I come from a very humble background.
