Description
In my curiosity about rendering health services, my eyes opened to the world of nutrition; an aspect of health care which entails assisting patients with developing better food choices to improve their health condition. This background prompted my decision to study Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria to further my quest in studying for a Masters in Public Health Nutrition .I have excellent communication and data management skill as well as good verbal and written skills, which I utilized on daily basis. I have developed skill in rendering client centered care. I am comfortable working on my own and able to work effectively as part of a team as this is essential in delivering high quality care. I am committed, non-judgmental, resilient, very well organized , able to adapt to situations and work under pressure. Understanding the importance of safe environment, I know that time is of the essence in ensuring that a child's environment is safe from harm, abuse and neglect. I believe that every child matters and have a right to being given the chance to become his/her best in life. I know that I possess all the necessary knowledge, skills and qualities needed for this role.
My zeal, passion and enthusiasm to help in caring for people gave me the drive to help to care for patients in care homes where I presently work as a healthcare assistant by giving first hand care to patients such as understanding and recording a patient's temperature, breathing, pulse and weight supporting patients to eat and serving their meals, helping to toilet ,bath and dress , spending time talking to patients, answering their questions as far as possible and making sure they are comfortable. Helping patients to get out of bed and move around supporting patients to change position in bed.
