- Assisting service users with their activities of daily living, e.g., getting up in the morning, going to bed at nights, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and help using the toilet.
- Assisting service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, by using aid or personal equipment.
- Help them to live physically and comfortably, tidying of rooms, light cleaning, changing beds laundry, emptying commodes.
- Assist service users with food preparations, snacks, drinks, to help them with their eating and drinking.
- Assisted with feeding when they find it difficult to be done by themselves.
- Contributed to specialised care plans, e.g., for people with dementia and continence difficulties.
- Assisted service users with their prescribed medication (as specified on their care plans)
- Helped service users who were temporary sick with minor dressings, bed nursing and help with feeding.
- Assist if needed, with a person’s end-of-life care.
- Sitting and talking with them to promote users’ mental health, encourage them to do things for themselves. Taking them shopping, prompting, reading, writing.
