The Neasden Temple is a traditional Hindu mandir built from hand-carved Bulgarian limestone and Italian marble, with a carved wooden haveli beside it. Visitors can see the marble sanctum and a permanent exhibition on Hinduism, and entry is free.

There are disabled parking bays opposite the entrance, a ramp into the haveli, a lift to the upper sanctum, level floors in the exhibition and extra wheelchairs to borrow.

The guided tour of Wembley Stadium takes you into the dressing rooms, the players' tunnel, the press room and up to the Royal Box where the cup is lifted. Along the way there are displays of football memorabilia, including items from 1966.

Brent Museum is a free local history museum inside the Library at Willesden Green, telling the story of the borough's neighbourhoods through a collection of more than 10,000 objects. Changing exhibitions bring out objects from storage and loans from other museums.

Gladstone Park sits on a hill with long views across London, with meadows, tree-lined avenues, a walled garden and a duck pond. It grew out of the Dollis Hill estate, where Gladstone spent weekends, and the outline of the old house is now a sitting area at the top of the hill.

Roundwood Park is a formal Victorian park with Grade II listed status, known for its flower gardens and views from the hill in the middle. It has held the Green Flag Award for many years.

Fryent Country Park

Fryent Country Park covers 103 hectares of old Middlesex farmland of hay meadows, hedgerows and ponds, and is a designated nature reserve. Barn Hill, the highest point, gives wide views over north-west London.

The ground is hilly and grassy in places, so a carer should plan a short walk on the flatter meadows near the entrance rather than the climb up Barn Hill.

Barham Park is a gently undulating park in Sudbury with many mature trees and much of its formal Victorian character, including a walled garden. A marked walking route shows a circuit of the park.

Willesden Jewish Cemetery (House of Life)

Willesden Jewish Cemetery is a 21-acre Victorian cemetery with a heritage centre that tells the stories of the people buried there, from the Rothschilds to Rosalind Franklin, through an exhibition, film and touch screens. Volunteers lead guided walks, and there is a gentler walk for people who find walking difficult.

Manual wheelchairs can be borrowed, parking can be booked ahead for visitors with limited mobility, the visitor centre has a ramp and an accessible toilet, and there are benches throughout the grounds, though paths are uneven in places.

Kiln Theatre on Kilburn High Road is a well regarded producing theatre with a cinema, bar and café under the same roof. An afternoon matinee or film makes a relaxed outing with somewhere to eat before or after.
