Fulham Palace was the country home of the Bishops of London for over 1,300 years, with a Tudor courtyard, historic rooms and a museum telling its story. Its botanic garden and walled garden sit beside the Thames, and there is a café on the lawn.

Riverside Studios is an arts centre beside Hammersmith Bridge with a cinema, theatres, exhibitions and a café and bar looking over the Thames. It is a comfortable place for a film or show followed by lunch by the river.

The Lyric Hammersmith is a historic theatre with a restored Victorian auditorium inside a modern building off King Street. It stages drama, family shows and new work, and has a bar and café.

Wormwood Scrubs is the borough's largest open space, with wide grassland on its eastern side and woodland, scrub and meadows with nature trails on the west. It is a Local Nature Reserve with over 90 species of birds and 240 species of wildflowers.
