Day out · Harrow on the Hill

St Mary's Church, Harrow on the Hill

St Mary's is a medieval parish church on the summit of Harrow on the Hill, next to Harrow School, with its spire visible for miles. The churchyard has wide views over west London and the tomb where the young Lord Byron used to sit.

The hilltop village is steep, so the carer may prefer to drive up to Church Hill rather than walk, and should check opening times with the parish office first.
