Cleethorpes is a traditional seaside resort on the Humber estuary with a long sandy beach, a pier, Sea Front Gardens and a promenade running south towards the Fitties. The Resort Hub on Central Prom has visitor information and a water fountain.

The promenade is long, wide and level with gardens and benches along it, so a carer can choose a short stretch near the pier and cafés and turn back when their parent is ready.

The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is a narrow gauge railway running along the seafront from Kingsway station past the Boating Lake to Lakeside, with steam and diesel locomotives. It now runs every day.

Cleethorpes Boating Lake on Kings Road is a large lake with islands, set just back from the seafront, with pedalos and rowing boats in season and paths around the water. The Light Railway runs along one side.
