Aerospace Bristol at Filton tells more than a century of Bristol aviation through aircraft, engines, missiles and satellites, housed in a First World War hangar and a new hangar built around the last Concorde ever to fly. Visitors can step aboard Concorde and a Bristol Britannia airliner.

The whole site has level access, with lifts in both hangars and to board the aircraft, fifteen disabled parking bays near the entrance, accessible toilets and a café, and carers go free with a disabled visitor.

Dyrham Park

Dyrham Park is a late 17th century house built for William Blathwayt, set in an ancient deer park on the Cotswold edge between Bath and Chipping Sodbury and cared for by the National Trust. The house holds Dutch paintings, delftware and porcelain, and the parkland has wide views and fine trees.

The parkland drive and the garden around the house can be enjoyed without long walks, so a carer can plan a short visit and ask the Trust about transport down to the house before going.

Avon Valley Railway

The Avon Valley Railway runs steam and diesel trains on the old Midland line from Bitton station between Bristol and Bath, with a restored station, buffet and gift shop. Trains run on about 120 days a year, mostly at weekends.

The station building is free to enter every day and has a buffet with an accessible toilet, so a carer can enjoy the trains and a cup of tea even without taking a ride.

Thornbury and District Museum tells the history of Thornbury and the Lower Severn Vale, with a special display on the Thornbury Roman coin hoard found in 2004 and changing local exhibitions. Entry is free and it is a short walk from the town's shops.

There is level access to the reception, bookshop and the coin hoard room, with folding chairs in each room, though the upper floor is up a narrow steep staircase.

Three Brooks Nature Reserve

Three Brooks is a local nature reserve in Bradley Stoke with woodland, a lake, brooks and ponds, a community orchard and wildflower meadows. There is a car park behind Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre.

Much of the reserve is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, and the leisure centre by the car park has toilets and a café.

Warmley Forest Park

Warmley Forest Park is an area of open grassland, woodland and hedgerows around Siston Brook and a large pond, beside the Bristol and Bath Railway Path. The old Warmley station is now a café called the Warmley Waiting Room.

The main paths are accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, and there are toilets in the Station Close car park and a café, so a short walk can start and end in the same place.

Willsbridge Valley Nature Reserve

Willsbridge Valley is a wooded local nature reserve near Longwell Green with four ponds, grassland and a wildlife garden. The old mill buildings hold a café, a small museum and a gift shop.

There is accessible parking at the Willsbridge Hill entrance and many routes, including the wildlife garden, suit wheelchairs, with the mill café and toilets close by.
